The Friendly Wordpress Niche Theme

The first version of the Friendly Wordpress Niche Theme has been released. This version included the following:

  • Fixed, table-less design
  • 2 Column
  • Widget Ready Sidebar
  • Wordpress Options Page

The options page includes the following features:

  • Editable Footer
  • Google Analytics Code Area
  • Google Adsense Code Area
  • Color changer:

Outside background:
Here you can choose the background colour for the whole site.

Inside Background Color:
This sets the colors for the background inside the site.

Page Border Color:
This is the outside border color of your website.

Inside Page Border:
This is the inside border color of your website.

Link Colors:
This sets the colors for all of your links.

Headline Colors:
This sets the colors for all of your headlines (Your H1 through H6 tags). These are displayed on your sidebar, page titles and any H tags you use in your posts and pages.

Sidebar Title Background:
This sets the sidebar title background colors.

Coming soon to the theme in the 1.1 version release:

  • Ad code space option to align left OR right
  • Color Picker for the Options page for easy hex codes
  • Custom header, where you can upload and crop an image

I am looking for all suggestions and feature requests to make this theme better. Please leave a comment if you have any ideas!

Version 1.1.2 Change log:

  • Edited searchform.php. Input tag was not properly closed which caused the theme to not validate
  • Edited header.php. Was not validating due to invalid code.

Notes: The theme is now 100% valid HXTML 1.0 Transitional.

Is anyone experiencing an issue with the theme breaking? Some people have reported an issue which I have not been able to replicate. I would appreciate as much information on this as possible so I can fix it for the next release.

Version 1.1 Change log:

  • Added custom header API, now you can upload and crop your own header in the theme options.
  • Added category and tag links to the bottom of posts and pages
